Wondering how many people in Ireland have had the Covid-19 vaccine?
As it turns out (at time of writing), it’s 77,303. You can find updated figures here.
Vaccine figures have been added to Ireland’s Covid-19 Data Hub which presents official figures provided by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and the Health Service Executive (HSE).
Like the number of infections, the figures are slightly behind, but are due to be presented as daily updates from 25 January 2021. Daily figures in the Covid-19 tracker app will be available from 1 February.
The headline figure above of 77,303 represents the total number of vaccines administers (first dose), or 1.57% of the population of the country.
In terms of rollout, once the AstraZeneca vaccine (or Oxford vaccine) is approved for use in Europe it is estimated that between 100,000 and 150,000 vaccines can be administered every week in Ireland. Approval is expected on 29 January.
