If you’re a fan of stories, let me (re) introduce you to UR Podcast from Urban Gym.
I do this now as our latest episode – lucky number 13 – has just dropped featuring the genre-spanning Maverick Sabre.
Cast your mind back to November 2019, New Ross, Co. Wexford.
Husband and wife team Andy and Marina Murphy had opened their boutique fitness facility (gym) in the spring and as the marketing push behind the gym gathered momentum, the next step was to produce a podcast.
Andy and I had already been part of another gym-based podcast series I was producing, Rambling Rhinos, running out of the Team Ryano Kilkenny facility. Familiarity was there, we got to talking, kicked around some ideas for guests and a structure and away we went.
So far, so good.
All things Urban, baby
The first episode,All Things Urban, Baby, released that November and we’ve been hitting our monthly targets (give or take) since. At time of writing, we’ve just released the 13th edition of the podcast so that’s pretty much us on track.
I want to bring your attention to UR Podcast because these inspiring stories deserve to be heard and barring a ten minute window in one of the recordings, they’re all pretty much evergreen interviews.
Over the past year we’ve spoken with business owners, world champion trainers, motivational speakers, international sport stars, big names in music and fitness and more besides.
The point with them all is that they all have a story to tell. In as friendly and conversational as we can get, we’ve created a great bunch of stories over the past year and have plenty more to hear from down the line.
