In keeping up with efforts to challenge myself in November and get new projects off the ground, let me briefly introduce No Time For Pop.

I’ve had an on-again-off-again relationship with writing (and attempting to write) about music, showcasing tunes and acts I’ve come across from far flung corners of the world, celebrating the underdog.

It began back in 2006 with the Playlist Mix, an award-winning music podcast series that ran for the guts of two years or so. I’ve written and recorded shows under Indie Switch, Stereo Mixtape, Kilkenny Music, Better For Sound and more.

Then, I got involved in radio and it became much easier to bring acts on air, get bands in a studio, over the phone, by video, on outside broadcasts, and bang things out on air.

Much like in kicking off this blog, I feel I’m not done with writing about music.

And so I go again.

Meet No Time For Pop

My inbox is busting with music on a daily basis (perk of the job) and there’s only so much of it that can go to air. For everything else, well, there’s a well intended blog and podcast.

It’s off and running, in its infancy, warming up the vocal chords and finding a home in the wilderness. But it’s here.

There’s no time like the present and there’s no time for pop.

If you’d like to become part of the conversation, email [email protected] or [email protected] Simples.

Find No Time For Pop on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram because seemingly you still have to be everywhere these days.
